A last minute change of hare due to sickness – or was it just that CS hadn’t managed to arrange the meeting with the pub or plan a route and wanted to hide in shame?  Whatever the reason, Hutch stepped in at the last minute. 

After the essential issue of ordering the fish and chips and time to admire all the high viz gear (particular mention to Call Girl’s tutu) we set off up the road and then across the park before making our way through the pretty streets and down to the water.  It was somewhere along the path by the water that Gatecrasher took a tumble.  It was such a good dive he would have been awarded a penalty.  Once Call Girl had realised that he wasn’t going to end up in the river she had a fit of the giggles!  He did complain to the hare for the amount of slippy mud on the trail.

There was no sign of the yellow shirt but it transpired that Zorro was wearing it under his Park Run jacket!  Is that allowed?

We headed back into town and along the causeway (well, the trail went that way but most of us decided to take the safer route of walking along the edge of the green).  We were back at the pub in good time to get the food and drink sorted out and hold the AGM.

But there were shirts and pants to award. 

Stacey had been enjoying the paddle far too much (Ringer wasn’t) but had to pass it on, so it went to Zorro for running through all the puddles.  There were a lot of candidates for the Yellow Shirt but the RA decided Hutch was the most worthy.

All the officers were willing to continue in post and no-one else was mad enough to volunteer. Well, almost nobody.  Twitcher had produced a map showing the pubs we have run from over the last 5 years.  He offered to try to find some new ones and assist the Hare Raiser.

The RA thanked Noddy for hosting the Red Dress Run and the BBQ.

Lemony gave a brief finance report on behalf of RSB.  The Hash has c£900 in the bank.  This is used to pay for events such as the BBQ, the AGM, the Red Dress Run and the Carols evening.  It also subsidises Hash T Shirts.  The CAMRA almost broke even and the drink left over went to the Carols evening. Hash Cash encouraged everyone to collect the dues when she is away as this pays for the drink for the hare(s) each week. 

There were announcements re Childrey Fest and the Wallingford Blues Festival.  Although the proceedings were kept remarkably short the photos of mass snoozing show that the RA has lost a bit of his spark.
