Run 1204 - The George and Dragon Sutton Courtenay

Hoodie had planned the trail, Lemony helped lay it and Buzz took on the role of co-hare on the night and looked after the walkers well, short-cutting brilliantly so everyone reached the pub at the same time.

The trail  went left from the pub, down Churchmere Road and left along the first footpath until it got to All Saints Lane and the lake.  Here the trail nearly finished very abruptly as the gate around the lake was locked!  Eleanor found a gate off the front drive of the house next door and everyone scampered through it hoping not to be seen.  Round the lake and onto the Millenium Common where the wild flowers were stunning.  Then left at the footpath and right along the edge of the copse.  Right onto the footpath and on towards the village hall before turning left along the cycle path towards the power station.  Straight on as the path bent left, then round two more sides of the square before coming out, you've guessed it, by the village hall!  Weaving left and right the flour led to the main road and across it down Mill Road.  Then diagonally across the grass, round the field and down to the Drayton Road before turning right along the cycle path and the On Inn.  Hoodie produced cake for his 21st Birthday.

There were a few namings:  Eleanor became Godzilla because she is a fan of Japan, and Dancing Queen's wife, Abi, became Bjorn Again.  Shandy's wife became Cheech Un - something to do with comedy film stars but I am not quite sure what.

On On

Hares:  Hash Hoodie, Buzz and Lemony Snicket
Hounds:  I don't know as I was in Birmingham watching Fleetwood Mac live on stage!  But there was quite a crowd
