Run 1177 - New Year's Day
A small, but select, group met at Lemony and Wimpey’s. The trail led down All Saints Lane and followed the lane round to the back of the old shop, over the road and along to Ginge Brook. From there it went through the fields and across the main Drayton road, along the No 5 cycle path, to the south of the sewage works (we know how to show everyone a good time), down the bridle path to Sutton Wick, then across the main road in Drayton, through the fields, along the footpaths back to Mill Lane in Sutton Courtenay, across the road again, through the muddy field and back to the Millenium Common where Lemony had laid a fish hook which worked perfectly, bringing those that had checked round the fishing lake all the way back to the common, only to have t o re-trace their steps.
Back round the lake and into Lemony’s garden. Charlie was hosed down and shivered so much Wimpey put his precious cats in the bedroom so he could come into the kitchen and be wrapped in a towel to warm up. Mulled wine, mulled cider, mince pies and wedding cake were on offer.
No Down Downs were awarded.
