What colour sense again this week!  Ringer in bright yellow running socks was a bit dazzling, but the red legs did clash rather.

Another lovely evening too.  We set off through the village with a completely pointless loop of the sports field – great one CS.  That’s what Hashing is all about.  Then north through the wood, across a field and into Berrick Trench!  Along the contours of the land to the west before cutting back through fields and up quite a steep slope through long, cut grass.  Northern Soul couldn’t resist pushing Rubber Sole’s Buddy to the ground and rolling her in the hay!  Zorro took a photo.  “Has it gone viral?” “No, I’m already on the penicillin” replied NS. 

Zorro was very keen this evening, front running on a number of occasions.  He even helped out Pressganger who got confused at a check.  She’s not used to being at the front, you see.  Poor Epic was rather weary as young Jake has not got the idea of sleeping at night yet.  He kept sitting down and nearly nodding off. 

Not sure which corner it was but we came across a front garden complete full of gnomes.  Where is our John when you need him?

The trail got very muddy before finishing via the allotments.  Here a group of locals were admiring the view (Hotlips I think) and drinking beer.  If only our hare had laid on a beer stop!

Ringer had trouble deciding on the award of the Down Down vest.  Despite a lot of contenders:

Zorro – leaving Ringer in a field of cattle
Epic – turning up late with a shorn dog and falling asleep
Northern Soul – shagging
Various – puddle jumping

The award went to A Cruel Joke (in absentia) for being in Croatia at a Harley Davidson meet.  CS’s comment that he could have stayed at home and ridden an old bike was either very brave or very foolhardy.  I’d watch your back next week!
