Another glorious run.  I think we hardly came out of the trees all evening.  Or was that just Northern Soul and Rubber Sole’s Buddy up to mischief again. Mind you, the Finnish had was a bit off-putting!

There was quite a bit of mud tonight and lots of paths through lots of trees.  At one point Cheating did a large extra loop.  He thought he knew the way but the hares obviously didn’t think along the same wavelength.

Big Stiffy seemed to have a bit of tummy trouble.  His gut instinct was to go straight on.  But the trail went left!

Towards the end of the run we crossed the playing fields.  The way out was rather obscure so Pressganger stood at the exit until the walkers came into the field on the other side.  She then continued on her way, but had forgotten to take into account that they are Walkie TALKIES.  They were chatting so much they didn’t even see her and ended up going round the field a few times, getting us all a bit worried!  The best bit was that Hutch admitted they weren’t looking.  What an honest chap.

Sitting at the pub Henry V managed to through Rubber Sole’s lager over Qualcast.  He seemed to quite enjoy it though.

Back at the pub Ringer tried to call everyone to attention but wouldn’t stick his fingers in his mouth to whistle as he knew where they’d been!

Big Stiffy stood on the bench to show us the dreadful bites he got on holiday in Egypt.  How he coped, we really don’t know.  At least Hotlips hardly suffered at all (!!!!)  Actually, the bites were just an excuse to stand on the bench to announce that Hotlips had agreed to be his bride.  How ringer got order again after that I shall never know as everyone was so pleased for the first Didcot Hash engagement.

There were no shirts to award but Ringer had a new weapon in his armoury.  The Paddle of Rebuke which will be awarded to anyone on the hash who is “slightly boring”.  This week the winner was A Cruel Joke for mentioning that he had been away the previous week at a Harley Davidson meet.  He felt it was a great honour and would be prepared to ‘pat’ anyone he felt was being boring on the next hash.
